About Us

Friends of Hospice is the volunteer organization formed in 1995 to support the Hospice of the Finger Lakes mission of providing quality, end-of-life care in our community. In 2018, Hospice of the Finger Lakes merged with Hospice of Central New York to assure that hospice services in Cayuga County continue to be provided with the exceptional care and compassion that the community has come to expect.

Hospice services—which encompass holistic care of individuals at the end of their life journey—emphasize patient and caregiver psychosocial needs. To provide medical, psychological, and spiritual support to the terminally ill and their loved ones, a team of professionals and volunteers all work together, including: Physicians, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers, and Therapists.
